Perfume Bottle

My newest painting 😍, It is reflecting damascus homes in the early 20th century. The homes where hidden behind small modest doors that can hardly tell what is behind them only to discover when you come in a little oasis of greenery, fountains and roses...always very clean and shiny as most of Syrian women have a mild case of ocd😂 not to mention the delicious food smells coming from kitchens 😉 It has been often described as “perfume bottles” because they are like a perfume bottle you have to open it to sense the beauty inside.
In a home like that my dad was born and raised . As a little kid I used to love listening to his stories and adventures with my uncles and aunt in his home and the neighborhoods of old Damascus. This painting is going to be the first of a series about all these memories I kept in my heart throughout the years.
